You can load and save motion data from nodes in Director. You can use this feature to save data from one node, and then load and apply that data to another node - even in a different scene. You can also use it to load data devised by scene planners.
To save a node's motion data to a file:
To load motion data from a file and apply it to a scene:
The data is saved in this format:
Column: Transform Sub Column: E/W 1 5012.500000 2 5015.000000 Column: Transform Sub Column: N/S 1 5050.887097 2 5053.431452 Column: Transform Sub Column: Angle 1 0.680000 2 1.230000 Column: Transform Sub Column: Scale 1 1.000000 2 1.012300 Column: Transform Sub Column: Center 1 4864.519009 4899.236794 2 4864.519009 4899.236794
For each column, the file gives the name of the parent node (called the Column
in the file), the name of the column (called the Sub Column
in the file), and then a series of {frame, parameter} tuplets.
